Good pizza & subs. Big portions & low prices. Try the spinach pie it's home-made Greek style!!!! My friends family owns this place and I've been eating there for almost 18 years. They deliver.

We were in North Andover the other day not for pleasure but for a funeral. We got to town early because the traffic had been lighter than we expected so we had time to stop for breakfast. This was very close to the church where the funeral was to take place and despite being called Star Pizza, we saw that they were open and serving breakfast. We were immediately greeted by a waitress as soon as we walked in and were told we could sit wherever we liked. The place is no frills with standard and utilitarian formica tables and poster art on the walls...more pizza joint than diner in aesthetic. They have a pretty extensive and typical breakfast menu but I was surprised to see at least 20 different omelette options. There were other egg choices including eggs benedict and an assortment of egg sandwiches. They had about 5 kinds of pancakes including chocolate chip, banana nut and blueberry and had a couple of kinds of french toast including one using Portugese sweet bread. I saw they served granola, fruit and yogurt parfaits which is something I love and make at home all the time so it was nice to see this healthy option on the menu. We both ended up getting the less healthy breakfast special that had scrambled eggs, hash browns, choice of toast and coffee. It was quite a deal at 5.99 It's pretty standard diner type fare but tasty and comforting. You get exactly what you're expecting. I would have liked the hash browns to be crispier but they were still good. The food came out quickly which was what we needed as we didn't have time to dilly dally. Our waitress Tanya was friendly and checked in with us twice during the short time we were there. Joy of joys, the bathroom was very clean although too dimly lit. This is a small town, old school kind of place; the kind for which I really have a soft-spot. For the most part, this is the type of breakfast experience I enjoy having more often than not. Nothing fancy, just something good to eat before getting on to the rest of my day. I hope to be back in North Andover one of these days in happier circumstances. I would most definitely return for breakfast here and to linger a little longer over a second cup of coffee while chatting with the locals. I'd try that Portuguese sweet bread "french" toast too. I'm betting, based on breakfast, that their afternoon/evening menu is good too. This was an especially comforting find on a sad morning.

They had a very nice agvolemono (oh how I miss that in California, so hard to find good Greek food) and a nice salad with grilled chicken - nice flavor to chicken. A little overly salty on everything, however, very cute mom and pop running it.

Truly wretched turkey sub. The meat and cheese were flavorless, the lettuce was brown around the edges, and the bun came from a bag. Just awful. Never going back.

I was very disappointed. I work in Andover & a coworker and I were going to place an order for delivery. I took the time away from work to call the order in. We completed the whole order. (Not including my lamb skewer that I wanted on my salad, as apparently they were out.) At this point the woman decides to ask either the manager or delivery driver and they stated we were too far for a delivery unless we ordered $30.00 worth of food. This is a ridiculous delivery minimum. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking that my work is a decent distance away from them to cause them to say this. But, no. Google Maps quotes them 4.7-7.4 miles away from my work (depending on your route.) Not a great impression, especially towards a company so close that could provide good revenue to them for lunch & early dinner orders.

Star Pizza & Cafe is a hidden treasure. Best pizza in the area. Too bad Top of the Scales had closed down but its great that Star's breakfast is fantastic.
